Star Wars in Concert -- a Visual CD
The lobby displays were sensational. The gear for sale was over priced, even for a The Moth Storyslam junkie. The orchestra and chorus were fantastic. The conductor was first rate. The in house video work with the orchestra was excellent. The narrator, Daniels, was okay, but a bit "precious" in his presentation. After the first segment, we sort of lost the thread of doing a chronology of the story line and went to a visual CD type of work where themes were linked to characters. This, as good as it was, weakened the evening for me. All that said, the images were crystal clear and fun. Thanks to all who did this show, known and unknown. This was wonderful to sit and be entertained this way. John Williams and George Lucas - a great pairing and like fine wine, age well and continue to have a fresh and satisfying vision.

"Madonna put on an amazing show, seriously. She did not disappoint, initially describing it as a journey. Well written and original, I thought the music was thought-provoking. The background effects were effective in delivering more of the experience, and the morphing stage. I felt the music was well scored. The song towards the end of the concert, I think it was called "Open Your Heart" (I could be mistaken), really showed me the talent of her voice; it was beautiful. Anyway, I believe the video playing why she sang the song was her daughter. Nice mix of some newer songs. Amazing The Moth Storyslam, Thank You! MB and DS."

The Moth Storyslam concert at the Tabernacle in Atlanta was the best I've been to (and I've attended many). I drove all the way there. As for the Hard Rock, it's a lovely venue with nice lighting and a great standing area, but the stage seems to be set too high. The security at this venue was cruel as they kicked my friend out for allegedly trying to start a mosh pit. I know this guy very well, and he would never do that. Besides, who cares about a mosh pit when Chino demands them? You should do what Chino tells you. I have never been to a concert where Chino did not come down off the stage to scream in his fans' faces. All in all, it was just ok... and that is all.
